Follow Spot Operator
Help us bring our stories to life! Hale Centre Theatre is currently seeking Part-Time Spotlight Operators. The Spotlight team works together through training, communication and precision to create memorable and exciting experiences for our patrons through live stage performances.
Responsibilities:
Our Spotlight Ops are responsible for drawing focus to performers with light to help tell the story to our patrons. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: performing Preshow checks, operating and maintaining the spotlight, executing specified cues and participating in Load in and Load out between shows.
Basic Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience running spotlight for large scale musicals is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment for theatrical and live entertainment venues.
- Proven working knowledge of theatrical terminology and documentation.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to a physically demanding role that encompasses, climbing and standing for long periods of time and at various heights.
- Ability to adapt to change with little or no notice.
- Positions require full availability (up to six days a week), including afternoons, nights, weekends, and select holidays.
- Successful candidates must be able to pass a drug screening and background prior to beginning work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or Certifications Operating Lighting Console
- Knowledge of Light Plots and How to Read Them

Hourly compensation commensurate with experience. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
