Show Costume Assistant

Hale Centre Theatre is looking for an energetic and passionate Show Costume Assistant to help bring our shows to life with style, flair, and creativity! What You’ll Be Doing:

Show Bible: Oversee and update the Show Bible.
Production Meetings: Attend production meetings as needed.
Build List Creation: help the Costume Designer create a detailed build list for the show.
Fittings: be in fittings to assist the Designer.
Fabric Swatching & Shopping: swatch fabric, list content and laundry care, help with purchasing as needed.
Communication: Work closely with the Costume Designer, Head of Costumes and Wardrobe, and Shop Build Supervisor to ensure communication about all costume needs.
Rehearsal & Production Support: Help pull costumes for rehearsals.
Labeling: Make sure all ditty bags, costumes, and Z-racks are properly labeled 
Budgeting & Purchases: Assist the Designer in maintaining the show budget and help with purchasing materials as needed.
Paperwork: Help with costume piece lists, inventory, laundry lists, and any other documentation required for the cast and Wardrobe Supervisor.
Alteration Notes: Organize and distribute notes for costume alterations and repairs during the dress rehearsal period.
Show Quality: Maintain the high standards of Hale Centre Theatre by ensuring the costume design integrity is top-notch.

• Team player with excellent communication skills—You’ll be working with designers, supervisors, and stage managers. Collaboration is key!
• A love of hands-on work—From swatching fabrics to organizing show bins, you’re always ready to get your hands dirty in the best way.
